Drawing and painting were things I wanted to be good at doing. Inspired by the work of my peers, I longed to embark on the same journey. I remember the day I decided to go to school and begin my path as an artist.
I am really passionate about my mentor, Bob Gilmore. Without him I wouldn’t be able to paint and draw the way I do. I live in Spokane, Washington. I moved here because I fell in love with the landscape and then with the people. I have two daughters and a community of family and friends.
I teach art, too. Art is my expression and my imagery defines my interests. I work mostly in oils. I tell my students that making art is risky and that it takes courage. When I follow my own advice and work hard, I find my voice and feel free.
